It was the Prophet Mohammed himself who attempted to negate the positive image of the Jew that had been prevalent earlier. According to historian Bernard Lewis, the Prophet Mohammed's original plan had been to induce the Jews to adopt Islam; when Mohammed began his rule at Medina in AD 622 he counted few supporters, so he adopted several Jewish practices-including daily prayer facing toward Jerusalem and the fast of Yom Kippur-in the hope of wooing the Jews. But the Jewish community rejected the Prophet Mohammed's religion, preferring to adhere to its own beliefs, whereupon Mohammed subsequently substituted Mecca for Jerusalem, and dropped many of the Jewish practices.

the ka'aba is An ancient building, an almost square structure built of granite blocks, stood near the well of Mecca. Known as the Kaaba (cube), this square building contained the sacred Black Stone, which was said to have been brought to Abraham and his son Ishmael by the Angel Gabriel. According to tradition, the stone, probably a meteorite, was originally white but had become blackened by the sins of those touching it.
For centuries the Kaaba had been a holy place of annual pilgrimage for the Arabic tribes and a focal point of Arabic cultural and linguistic unity. The Kaaba itself was draped with the pelts of sacrificial animals, and supposedly held the images and shrines of 360 gods and goddesses.
By the sixth century, Mecca was controlled by the Koraysh tribe, whose rulers organized themselves into syndicates of merchants and wealthy businessmen. The Koraysh held lucrative trading agreements with Byzantine and Persian contacts, as well as with the southern Arabian tribes and the Abyssinians (Ethiopians) across the Red Sea. In addition, a number of neighboring merchant fairs, such as one usually held at Ukaz, were taken over by the Koraysh to extend the economic influence of Mecca. The Koraysh were also concerned with protecting the religious shrine of the Kaaba, in addition to ensuring that the annual pilgrimage of tribes to the holy place would continue as a source of revenue for the merchants of the city.

The Ka'aba was there in Mecca since long time. But we all know that before Muhammed, The Arabs in Arabia were pagans, their religion was idolatry. There were 360 idols surrounding Ka'aba before Islam. Actually, entire Arabia meant nothing to people back then, becasue it's a desert. But now..... it's very attractive... It has oil!!

Because the Qur'an came last and is therefore the least trustworthy to anyone who is not a Muslim. Jews and Chr*stians don't accept the Qur'an and don't believe Abraham built the Ka'aba

Ridicule? The existence of Muhammad is properly recorded, suitable right down to days of the years sometimes. by using fact of this a lot of human beings reject his prophecy. It has no longer something to do with Abraham and Ishmael.

My friend is a religious Christian, yet she sees some things in Christianity she doesn't agree with, liek Jesus being divine, and the fact the Bible has been changed. So it was probably pulled out of the Bible.

Because your belief system is so different we don't agree with it at all. Therefore we don't worship places that your "prophet" said were cool.
