she might not have been diagnosed.............but most people have issues with it........... some have more severe cases.

the two are not directly linked but either could be linked with the other but they could also exist indendantly. Possibly a symptom in her case

Hi Andrew,

Good question!, I'm 30 yrs. old and I suffer from sever depression and in my early teens and all through high school I had battled with bulimia. Both the depression and bulimia are two different conditions, however, with either one or both, low self esteem and self image play a huge role. With the bulimia, the feeling of the lack of control in or over things in your sisters life is also an issue and the bulimia is a subconscious way of your sister feeling in control of her own life. Your sister will need to get professional counselling to treat both conditions in order to get better. If by some chance no one except you within the immediate family knows about the bulimia, then you need go to your parents and try to get your sister the help she needs. I hope this helps answer your question and that your sister gets the proper help she needs. Good Luck!

Sincerely,

Alice H.

yes bulimia is a side effect in a way to some people. i suffer from bulimia and you need to get her help before she start throwing up blood and her mouth get eating away by acid like mine started to. its a side effect becuase when people are depressed they feel they have no control over anything that happens to the so they start things like bulimia or self mutilation to gain some sort of control.

hug her a lot and tell her you love her all the time and pray for her and fix her, Her favorite dish and make all kinds of goodies for her to eat..And call own Jesus to help her so all of this will go away so you can enjoy your sister again, make a effort to do all she likes to do and tell her, when she is sadden so are you, Just trust in Jesus for everything...And He will see you through this I promise you...Pray Jesus loves the both of you and would not have this going own for nothing Satan is doing this trying to keep your sister from becoming all She can become..and causing havoc in your family..Pray ...God bless you and your sister and All
