Very easy to run phone line wire from one room to another by nailing along the base board. The attacting the box to the bedroom end is easy to do. You can buy materials at Radio Shack. It's just a matter of connecting two wire at both ends, just take your time.

Instead of going through all of that why not by a cordless phone. they have sets that you can get with two or three phones. What happens here is, one phone gets hooked up to the main outlet that you should already have. And then the other one or two have charging bases that you just plug into an outlet in any room where you would like the phones to go. This eliminates the need for running any extra lines.

We bought 4 pack of digital cordless phones only 1 needs to go into a phone socket the others just need plugged into the electric. Easy!

Buy a pair of Cordless phones and put the base station downstairs and the Satelite in your bedroom. You can buy a double set for about £20 wich is probably cheaper than the cabling and fittings for a fixed line extention (Plus you will be able to talk to your mates while you're on the Loo)
