I have liked this guy for a long time. We don't talk much but he is very sweet, cute, and nice. Whenever we talk it is casual, and I know that he used to like me, but I am pretty sure he doesn't now. My friend mentioned to me a couple of months ago that he randomly mentioned me to her on the bus and asked her whether or not I liked him. She told him I used to but now she wasn't sure. I told her I still liked him and then she told him and she said he seemed pleased but she wasn't positive. Whenever we talk it is about random things. We do have a lot in common, so how do I use that to my advantage? We don't have any classes together, so I can only talk to him before school and during lunch and we sit faraway from each other. What should I do? I am 14 years old, in 8th grade, and have liked him since 5th grade. We were really good friends. He said I was someone he could always talk to and that I was a really good listener. He said this in like 5th grade though. What should I do?

Well I think that if you two have a lot of things in common then you should talk to him about the things that you two have in common. If you two find out that something you two really have in common then the way to use that to your advantage is if its something like sports or something active, then go do that activity or go to see it. But if its not something that you could go do as a activity then talk on the phone about it. Go up to him say hi or something then get on the subject. Then you tell him that you have to go to your next class or something then tell him you'll call him later. But if you don't have his number then ask him for it and tell him that you would like to continue that conversation with him over the phone.
