Is it worth it to get your teeth professionally whitened? How much does it cost and how long does it last? Are there any other self whitening systems that work wonders?

tooth whitening home remedy uses few strawberries
but certain precautions have to be taken.

Well you can see your dentist and pay anywhere from 100-250 for bleaching trays which is an awesome investment if you can continue to follow up on your own and use them. them they will last your for a very long time. I say that price Range because all Dr's charge diff amounts. Then there is in office bleaching which is anywhere from 250-500 depending again on the Dr and the brand they use, they all work the same i.e bright smile, lumaarch, and zoom. Or you can take a trip to walmart or CVS and get some crest whitestrips. I bleached my teeth with those when I was 16 and I am almost 23 and I still get compliments on how nice and white my smile is. I havent used anything since. Just be sure to use as directed and you should be happy with your results. However my next choice would be bleaching trays because you always have them and you can use them until you reach your desired whiteness so long as you use them everyday for a few weeks and also you can do touch ups as you deem necessary. Just be sure you dont have any crowns or fillings on your front teeth because any dental matierial will not bleach only your natural teeth will.

I had proffessional one from dentist for $350 the majority of the cost was for the mould. the whitener lasts for 12 months in refridgerator 2 to 3 applications does the job. When they start to look a bit dull again do it again. Second purchase should be cheaper as you will need only the whitener. It's well worth it.

Professional whitening costs around $500.00. I think that it is worth it because at our office we give bleaching trays as well as the prfessional bleaching. The bleach for the trays run about $4.00 and you can touch up at anytime. Use Whitening toothpaste at home and the Listerine Whitening mouthwash and you are set. I myself have bleaching trays only and love them. I tried the Crest Whitestrips and they did well but I got extreme senstivity with them. I would try them first to see your sensitvity level and you may get the results that you want and only spend around $40.00.

I use plain old baking soda, not only does it whiten your teeth, it sweetens your breath, and if you do happen to swallow some of it the baking soda will settle your stomach.
