Because they dont put that blood into their own bloodstream, but into their stomach! The immune reaction matters nothing, considering that the blood is in the process of being digested.

OTOH, who knows? maybe it gives them hiccups?

On second thoughts, they probably get hiccups after eating off drunken sailors... ;-)))

there is only a chance of rejection of a different blood stream, when it is used as blood; in the bloodsteam. When a mosquito feeds the blood is its food source and it is subject to enzymes and acids much like human digestion, where energy is extracted. Then the waste products are excreted. It is antigens on the blood cell that determines blood group and these aren't digested. therfore the antigens do not enter blood or stimulate an immune response.
