It's all a matter of choice. Is it a new car or pre-owned? What are the colour choices? Is it the dealer trying to sell you something from there inventory? Can't they give you the same deal for the colour you want? They could do a dealer trade to get the car you want or you should shop around. When I was a car seller I would do my best to satisfy my customers wishes.

I did pass up on a SUV about 7 years ago because I didn't like the colors available. The dealership asked me what it would take for me to drive away with it that day and I told them, I wanted a certain color. They did look at other dealerships for me in the area but none were available. I didn't buy it and went for a sports car instead. But it was in the color that I like.

I have passed on a used car because of the color. I found a great M-B 420 SEL, but it was metallic gold, and my wife hated the color. To promote harmony in the home, I kept looking until I found a navy blue one.

Shouldn't have to unless it is special ordered. If they're making it hard for you just get the car and stick to the colour they have to offer you so to make it easier on yourself and them. Good enough, yes?
