Okay,
a.) The music that is listened to and sung is to show our praise and adoration of Christ, it doesn't matter what style it is, just if its focus is praising God.
b.) Alright, the pastor's sermon is to teach us how to live a godly life. Ephesians 4:29 Let no unwholesome words come out of your mouth. Swearing is not wholesome word. Also, since we are to love everyone (as Christians) just like Christ loved us, why would we want to damn them? And since God doesn't give us His bowel movements, why should we call things such? And first and for most, YOU DON"T GO TO CHURCH TO BE ENTERTAINED!! BUT TO ENRICH YOUR FAITH!!!
c.) Okay, it was Cana and the reason they drank wine was because the water was unsafe. Their wine was only about 2% alcohol as opposed to our 5%+. Also, the Bible condemns drunkeness. There is nothing wrong with having a serving of wine, but the purpose of church is for the edification of the faith.
d.) Why? So you could fall asleep during the sermon??? Once again, THE FOCUS OF CHURCH IS GOD! NOT YOUR SEAT!!
Also, going to church isn't what gets u to heaven, but rather believing that Jesus Christ died for your sins and then living you life in obedience to his commandments out of gratitude.

For me, the choice not to attend church has nothing to do with the accomidations. I can deal with sitting in a pew for a few hours if I have to, I just chose not to attend in the first place. My family is very religious, we're actually like one big patchwork quilt of religions, so when I'm invited by a loved to go to their church with them, I generally accept and tag along. My parents attend Catholic mass in a large, beautiful church and while the sermons can be a bit long and monotone for my taste, it's generally a pleasant service. My brother takes his kids to an Evangelical church where they have energetic sermons, sit in cushioned chairs, the pastor wears flip flops and jeans, and they play all kinds of music. My step-sister and her family belong to a small Baptist church and to me, there service is little more than a concert of mediocre Christian music and updates on the health and personal lives of the parishoners, with a few prayers thrown in for flavoring.
(As a side-note, I was raised in a traditional Methodist church and one of my favorite things to do during the service was slide back and forth on the pews while everyone stood up for prayers..... that was the only good thing about those awful tights my mother always made me wear!)
(Second side-note.....my parents' priest said a prayer last year for the Steeler's to win the Super Bowl!)

1. There are churches that don't have "traditional" services. Find one!
2. If your pastor curses, then he isn't God-led. Laughing one's "butt off" isn't appropriate for the sanctuary anyway!
3. You can have wine weekly at your local Catholic church during communion, if that's what you're into.
4. The pews at my church do have padded seats. Perhaps you should visit a church in a metro area - they have modern furnishings. If you are looking for comfort, you sound like someone who probably would prefer to lie on the couch on Sundays.
Non-Christians aren't usually in the habit of attending church - no matter what it offered. Christians aren't there for the upholstery or the refreshments or "the band."

I go to a UU church and we do have wine receptions. Not after church, we will serve wine at dinner and church parties. The idea of Christian rap does scare me, but i might go to church just to hear a preacher cuss. If the seats were comfortable even more people would fall asleep in church.

Church is boring because youve already heard all of the stuff the pastor says before, and if you want to have wine, have people bring some each sunday and you can have it blessed during the service and then drink it for communion. And instead of the seats you should just sit on poufs on the floor like they did in ancient Israel.

possible answers:
A) discuss this with your pastor (if you have more than one service at your church).
B) cussing is not allowed in church-it is total disrespect.
C) a wine reception is fine for the proper setting, but if your not 21 yrs of age (legal drinking age for USA) what point is there?
D) fluffy cushioned seats would mean that more people would be dozing off during the sermon.
other suggestion---become a minister yourself and build your church.

well we laugh at my church but not because hes cussing, but because he does make jokes and he puts when he says into everyday use, not just do this or die. Our seats are comfortable enough, the music could use a lil tweaking though, although I would lean toward rock not rap. And even before I started going to church I didn't drink so that wouldn't affect me either way.

Worship was never meant to be focused toward our own self entertainment, but to show respect, honor, and reverence to God.
When you love God, then worshiping Him in a respectful way is not boring. Simply reading the scriptures is something you should delight in! 1 Corinthians 13:6 says love "rejoices with the truth."
King David said, "I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD." (Psalm 122:1)
Self entertainment has the wrong focus of worship. In fact, selfishness hinders true worship! We should be happy to worship God in simplicity and truth.
"But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ." 2 Corinthians 11:12
"Let all things be done decently and in order" 1 Corinthians 14:40
A follower of God that has his mind set upon the one being worshiped, and not on his own desires, does not need gimics and pagentry to make worship meaningful and uplifting. If you find worship boring, then that might be just a symptom of another problem.

Church is boring because they cannot preach the Word of God due to their 501(c)(3).
In short, a 501(c)(3) “church” cannot freely preach Christ, His Kingdom or His Truth. They must honor first and foremost the prince of this world, his kingdom and his lie. They have turned their swords into plowshares before the vicory is won, and being unarmed, are a liability to Christ’s purpose to assault the gates of hell (to which they have pledged allegiance!) I’ve heard it said that “healthy sheep reproduce”, but these have made themselves eunichs in Christ’s flock. Matt 22:14 says many are called, but few are chosen, but of these it can truly be said that many are cold, and a few are frozen.

I used to think church was dull too. You're in the wrong church. Our church isn't boring at all. Our pastor wore a Hawaiian shirt to preach on Easter Sunday.
And we have fluffy seats, no rap or swearing though.
