the fundamentalist christians find it evil? God gave us an imagination and how could it be so wrong to use it? Why do the fundamentalist think we should all live and think and be the same? THat is not how God made us. God made so many different cultures and made us to think differently?

Nothing of what you listed is evil, and most Christians would not say that it was either. What we consider evil is the attempts of some people on here to keep other people from God and religion who may need Him. Doing that, from our perspective, and according to the Bible, is wicked and evil. Many Christians have and are still doing the things you have listed, just like you. We are spiritual, meditate on God's Word, find value yoga, and despite what many believe, think freely. They just made a choice to believe in Jesus and found Christianity to be the way, and the truth, and the life God intended us to live.

Please don't take this as support for fundies, because they truly make me feel icky all over. Are you Christian, or a spiritual non-Christian? If you are Christian, then you cannot take yoga too seriously. Yoga is based on a complex pagan philosophy, and this is wholly incompatible with Christianity. I'm not saying Christians shouldn't practice yoga, or even that they shouldn't learn the philosophy behind it; they should draw the line when it comes to believing in the philosophy. As for meditation, I honestly don't know what fundies think of it. Many Christian churches take the idea of meditation very seriously, provided, again, that it is based on Christian principles and has the goal of bringing you closer to the one God.

I'm not sure what you mean by fundies wanting us to all live and be the same. Christians are certainly not against the use of imagination, as long as it is for positive things. i.e. use your imagination to write a novel, find a cure for a disease, etc. And most Christians will tell you that cultural diversity is a beautiful thing and should be preserved, and that, at the very least, religious diversity should be respected. But don't expect Christians to accept that there is truth outside of Christianity. That is their belief system, and as long as they don't hurt anyone with it, they ought to be able to follow it.

I had to read your Q a few times to get past what I saw as a contradiction and I have a bit of a concern. If you truly spend your time "thinking freely" about what others "think" it is my opinion that it is YOU who are missing your own life! Just be in it.

its evil because its not through God.
u can be spiritual if u r christian, imagination that God gives is to be used through God.
U can put ur hands on sick people and in jesus name they will be healed.
u can change people life, u an set them free, u can touch the deep of u and others through God.

so please chose it to be in the way that God created to be.

Because they are ignorant. You are finding your way of becomming one with God, or a son or daughter of God, if you will. Jesus says this is possible for us, as it was possible for him. Maybe they're jealous that you're having more luck then them since they obviously aren't having any if they're still going around judging people.

What they think is neither here nor there. Beliefs like yours will always exist-their creed won't even exist at all in a few decades so they have no opinion that is of relevance.

Right...I don't think God would be against anything that brings PEACE into someone's life. I think he is against evil and ill-will.
