No! How can a religious book overrule the foundation for law in a country that (supposedly) embraces a freedom of religion? As Americans, we're free to believe what and how we want, so why should one religion's holy text reign supreme over the laws of the land?

No, the Bible does not overrule the constitution.

However, the Bible is supreme than the constitution. Where there seems to be a disagreement between the two, it is advisable to take what the Bible says as final.

The word "overrule" infers a human ruling by some authority.

There is no authority higher than God.

The Bible doesn't "overrule" the Constitution, but if a discrepancy exists between the two, the Bible is authoritative over the Constitution.

Sorry y'all, but I'm gonna say yes here
i think that since we are a country built on the Christian faith, the Bible might overrule the Constitution in certain circumstances
i just think the word "overrule" is a little out of place here
try "annul"

No...they speak to different things, one government, one religion, which are not to be mixed together.

NEITHER DOCUMENT SUPERCEDES THE OTHER AS THEY GOVERN OR RULE DIFFERENT DEMINSIONS OF OUR LIVES.

Separation of Church and State:

no man shall be compelled to frequent or support any religious worship, place, or ministry whatsoever, nor shall be enforced, restrained, molested, or burthened in his body or goods, nor shall otherwise suffer on account of his religious opinions or belief; but that all men shall be free to profess, and by argument to maintain, their opinion in matters of religion, and that the same shall in no wise diminish enlarge, or affect their civil capacities.

The First Amendment to the United States Constitution is a part of the United States Bill of Rights. It prohibits the federal legislature from making laws that establish a state religion or prefer a certain religion (the "Establishment Clause"), prohibit free exercise of religion (the "Free Exercise Clause"), infringe the freedom of speech, infringe the freedom of the press, limit the right to assemble peaceably, or limit the right to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

The text of the amendment reads as follows:

“ Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Legally, no. We are allowed spiritual and reglious freedom, but that ends once others' rights, as spelled out in the constitution, are infringed upon.

But as a religious aspect, the Word of God is supposed to be supreme.

Hope that helps.

Not at this point, but who knows what the future governments might change about. God tell us to give respect to the rules of the government and also to give due respect to Him. If we don't obey the laws and guidelines set for us to make life here more tolerable, then we certainly won't be trying to keep His commandments.
