is it an open band or a closed band. If it is a closed band then he is domestically bred. The SC would be for South Carolina and 1992 is probably the year he was hatched. This website may help you

the band reads that it is from south carolina and the breeders no. you should contact the avian breeders board in south carolina and let them know that you found someone bird and you would be happy to return it . what kind of parrot ? I hope you successfully find the owner. good luck.

AAC might advise American some thing or different, fifty six, I think of, could be the form of Greys the breeder had bred. This guy replaced into fifty six.

Basically that tattoo tells you and any officials that that was a captive bred bird, not taken from the wild and smuggled here.

As to whether you can find breeder or age, I can't help there.
do a web search on bird tat data base maybe??

people often put bands on birds feet with numbers on them so they can tell them appart. where she came from depends on what kind of parrot it is, I dont know what its age would be though.

It's the number, either the breeders or the bird's I think. If you want it removed, I'd contact a vet.

i'm sorry i dont know how to read they all i know is it tells you the breeder and what litter the bird was in... i think there so you dont inbreed two birds...
