A couple years ago, i sold my car on ebay, the guy sent me a check for $4000 when the car was only $200, i was suppost to send him back the money, so i deposited the chek and it cleared, by the time it cleared i had read about these kind of scams, so i didnt send him the money, but i had already used my $2000. So next thing i know the bank wants their money back.

Have you ever fell for either a nigerian, lottery or some other type of internet scam?

NO. I'm sorry. But to me, in my opinion, it's never safe to buy/sell things through Internet.

You should have returned the check and asked the buyer to resend the exact amount.
