I worked at a company for 2 months before leaving for a better job. I haven't received a W-2 from them yet, but they've been giving me excuses about not needing one from them.

call the Internal Revenue Service at 1-800-829-1040 and file a W2 complaint. They wil take a report and send you a form that you can use as a subsitute, you will need your last paycheck stub when you call, along with the name, address and phone# of the employer and what dates you worked for them

Tell them to get their collective heads out of their backsides and get your W2 to you PRONTO or you will file a complaint with the IRS. If they don't deliver in a day or two, call the IRS and file a formal complaint. Normally it only takes one call from the IRS to motivate a lazy employer to act.

That's pretty much bull. If you were employed by them, you need a W-2.
