1) All US troops pull back to Iran-Iraq, Syria-Iraq, Jordan-Iraq & Saudi-Iraq borders.

2) The Iraq Army (Iraqi Shiites) will take on the Sunni insurgents/terrorists, who they hate, all by themselves.

3) The Iraq Army, unlike the US military, knows who the insurgents/terrorists are, know the territory & they don't have to abide by the same "rules of engagement" that have really hurt the US military. The Iraqi Army can fight by the same "rules" that the insurgents/terrorists fight by & they can win the "hearts & minds" of the Iraqi people who they are fighting for, something a foreign army like the US can never really do.

4) While the Iraqi Army is taking care of all the insurgents/terrorists the US forces will make sure that nobody interferes w/ their progress including Saudis, Syrians, Jordanians, Iranians & Jihadists.

5) The Iraq Army will end the civil war, kill all the Sunni terrorists/Al Qaeda & the US military will make sure that the war stays contained within Iraq.

Great idea! Or maybe not. So tell me, do you really think Iran especially and Syria will sit by and do nothing with the American military amassed on their borders? The federal government won't allow us to secure our own borders, what makes you think they will let us try to secure the Iraqi borders?

Sound's like you have as good a answer as anyone. That sad thing is that this situation even exist. The fact that this conflict (war) was even started is criminal. I get a kick out of the term "win this war", and that's not directed at you personally but the spin doctor's who started it. How is someone suppost to win a war when they don't know who it is that they're fighting? You would think that the power's that be would have learned about getting involved in guerilla conflict's from Vietnam and watching the Russian's in Afghanistan. Unless they are complete moron's they must not have really cared when they started it, or the power of money outweighed their common sense. That 2 billion dollar's a week this war is, and has been costing the US tax payer's is going into someone's pocket's. "Cut and run" another spin term. What was the purpose for us to go there? WMD? Well, it's been proven they didn't exist. Get rid of Suddam Hussein? He's gone. Build a democracy? Hahaha, we destroyed their country by invading it, it wasn't a battle field until we made it one. And to all the people saying it's the terrorist who destroyed it just think a little bit. If some other country had the ability to invade the US and were saying, we don't like the way thing's are being done in the United State's, we're going to change it. They then invaded us to change thing's to their liking how many US citizen's would be willing to fight to the death to get them out? Considering all the people screaming patriotism hopefully there would be quite a lot. Is it hard to understand why there is so much resistance to us? I'm under the impression that they have very little if any running water or electricity. Pretty much knocked back to the stone age and people are expecting them to get together a governement to take charge of the country and straighten thing's out? Talk about optimism. This is a total cluster@#$% that should have never happened. We still have a man and group of people who are definitely responsible for murdering thousand's of people and destroying billion's of dollar's of property on US soil and he's still running free after almost 7 years. That's totally unacceptable.

Actually that looks perfect on paper, but wouldnt work out; like communism.

Alright so let the Iraqis fight the Iraqis, Im all for it; but how do we make it that there is NO outside interference? You answered that by saying surround Iraqs border w/ our troops like the border patrol would the American-Mexican border. One problem with that, the Saudies, Syrians, Jordians, and especially the Iranians would get very paranoid at all of the US troops sitting at there border and probably try to pull of a pre-emptive attack on the US's troops stationed there.

Think of it like this; China invades and occupies Mexico. Then they line up all of there troops on the American-Mexican border; is the US going to sit there and wait for, what they think, is an attack?

Your right that we need to let the Iraqis fight the Iraqis, but we cant pull out until we know there isnt any foreign influence. What I would say, and what would still make these Muslim countries mad, but line up UN Peacekeepers on the border w/ US troops close by just incase.

i understand a speedier way. Stand in front of the troops burn the e book of policies of engagement. tell the generals do what it takes. If everyone gets on your way handle it like each buidling or highway block from getting your project performed. it might desire to no longer be rather however the message would be clean to no longer mess with us. If warring parties from different international locations are got here across. deliver the B-52s C-a hundred thirty gunships in for the awaken call your next.

In addition to the impossibility and logistical nightmare of such action, where do you put the Kurds in all of this?

Turkey and Syria, as well as the Iraqi S’hia and Sunni, want the Kurds eliminated. What are you going to do about that?

You cant, All great governments including the US, will cost many lives to build. We should not cut and run, like vietnam we must push forward and train more Iraqs to defend themself and once we can rely on themselves to keep a stable military and gov. we can pull out, Iraq could be one of Americas greatest allies.

In Vietnam, it was a face-saving gesture called "Vietnamization."
Now, in Iraq, what can you call it - "Iraqization"??
