Confidence, and how well the photographer 's ability is to work with people If the photographer is good at it they can make the photo shooting atmosphere fun no matter what type of photographs are taken

I think its all to do with being relaxed in front of a camera. Candid photographs are great, because they capture natural moments rather than 'staged' ones and so the people being photographed are totally natural and not worried about how they look.

I think it's mostly in the eyes. I've seen plenty of ugly people in interesting photos.

I think it may be the smile... it has the ability to brighten up anyones picture, if it is a nice smile that is.
