It is a personal choice you need to make. They have said that the scare is over and everyone can eat turkey without the worry of the infection. There are always risks with any food, whether it be not cooked properly or things like the recent turkey scare. i dont think you are being over protective but thats a question only you can decide. do you feel strongly enough to stop your son from eating it and would you be comfortable knowing the fact that he is?

If it will help you relax, by all means stop him from having the turkey, but all research shows that if the meat is thouroughly and properly cooked, there is no danger to our health.
It's your decision though.
I'm guessing that you are not the only one to be scared by this, so for all you parents' peace of mind, why not get together with the others and sign a petition asking for the turkey not to be used?

if its bird flu that u are worried about then dont, there has been n o evidence in this recent scare that it has entered the food chain, and even if it did, cooking destroys it, chill out the gov will have to let us no of any risk as soon as it happens xx

it's entirely up to you. if you feel you want your child to not have turkey for a while then I dont think your son will miss out if your leavin it out of his diet for a while :)
i personally, if there was a scare near me would lay off givin it to my children. There are of course other alternatives :) Better to be safe then sorry I guess :)

no. i understand you fear for your son but you should recognize that these food scares happen all the time. yet if the food is prepared correctly (heated above 200 degrees c) there is no risk to your son.
try not to pass your food phobias on to him or he may become a fussy eater as he gets older.
