panasonic camcorder NV-gs11eb?

I have a panasonic nv-gs11eb and I am trying to archive some material by downloading onto a recordable dvd player, I get the picture but no sound, this also happens when I play the material through the camcorder to the tv. Does anyone know what further leads or cables that I need to produce the sound. I am using a s-video lead to get the pictures.

Do the best thing.Take the camera to Radio Shack.They have the real cables.Also thy help a lot.
