Obviously anything after that would have to happen after meeting...but i mean just someone being romantically interested in someone else they have gotten to know through the internet and phone....

I am sceptical about this....

I truely believe that you can develope a "cruch" on someone throught the internet but Love is something that comes with time,.....really getting to know that person "in person"

I don't know about "falling in love". I don't think I'll ever get used to the idea of people finding love online.
The problem is that even though you share a lot of intimate and private thoughts, you don't really know the person for who/how they are. You've got an idea, a fantasy creature made up in your mind of how you THINK that person is like in "real life". Everything might be perfect online, but when you meet the chemistry might not be there, and that could be just a total letdown. I'm not saying that he's not a good guy, and that you guys would have that problem, but just don't get caught up in it, until you actually meet face to face.

Dont forget that they are paid to be nice and mainly get that money from you. But falling inlove with someone when u only know em by phone might be a good thng and a bad.. the good is you fall inlove with the person for who they are and not for what they look like or what they own. And thats how the best love stories happen. The bad is that people act one way on the phone and a slight different in person. But life is nothing without risks..

Through internet and phone a person can paint a picture of themselves that isn't what they really are. You meet up with that person and find someone who is quite far removed from what you were expecting. I can see someone becoming infatuated with a person via phone and internet-it's all a fantasy, and, let's face it,quite exciting. But love? No way.

i asked a similar question a while ago, the opinions vary so much its unreal, some success stories are there and some horror stories but i do believe its possible to start to feel for someone through the like of instant messenger but as long as you remember that its an unreal scenario and until you meet it is all just a little bit of fun.
I wish you luck if you do decide to meet

Well, l think so coz l'm one of da people who's in love with someone who's far away from me, but my issue is different coz l used to be very close friends with this boy and we used to hang out a lot until l came to the UK and from then on were communicating through emails and phone calls. At first l refused to go out with him and wanted to stay friends, but things have changed now and we really love each other. So l think tis possible.

HOPE I WAS OF HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Anything is possible, if someone truly feels they like someone from only talking on the phone and texting then I'm sure it is possible to fall in love that way.
I would advise to be cautious though because it is possible for people to lie over the phone.

I think you can have warm thoughts about someone who is fun to talk to.

It takes more than a few conversations to find the person with whom you wish to spend part of your life.

Telephone calls, e-mails, and IMs can open the door to further involvement. Just don't base your whole future on those exchanges.

i definitly think that you can fall in love while talking to someone online. Last year my best friend moved to a different school and gave me this guys s/n. We started talking and sis end up falling in love. And i still love him today. Sometimes to meet someone you love you just have to do it this way but i deffinitly think you can
