That only happened one time when Lucifer -otherwise known as Satan- fell from glory for wanting to be greater than God as well as about a third of the angels-don't quote me on the exact amount. This is the origins of Satan and devils/demons. This has never happened again.

Think of satan and his angels who were cast out of Heaven. But they were cast to Earth until judgment day then the Lake of fire.
