My analog cable box broke, but I found another one in my attic. It is a Jerrold Impulse model number dpbb7312 p/c1. the box works fine, although it will not advance past channel 34. I do not have the remote, only the buttons on the top of the box. Thank you in advance for any help.

oh, the question is if anyone knows how to make it go to all the channels.

thank you. If the box is older and only goes to ch34, is there a way to open the box and add the higher channels?

just buy a cable ready TV, they go up to channel 99, i think? [if yours doesn't already ] the old cable box of the 80s only went up to about 34 if i can remember that far back. if you have a cable ready TV just plug the cable directly into the back of the TV where it says cable in and read the instructions for your TV on how to have it scan for all cable channels ... or if you have VCR they also can scan if you plug the cable into the back of the VCR where it says cable in and just follow the instructions. you could open the box and see but be careful you might get shocked if you don't know what your doing and i don't know if you can up the frequency but if the box is junk any way [considering it only gets 34 channels!] i guess you could.

The box is probably outdated. Contact your cable provider, you should be able to get a new box. My provider you can just take the broken equipment and exchange it at the local office.
