I want to do a Open University Course for a bit extra on my UCAS form. can i get funding to do it? i currently get full EMA becuase im considered Poor - can i get funding to do any courses like an open uni or a summit? taa

i don't understand how doing an open university course would help on your ucas form? have you considered doing some voluntary work that's related to your course? even a saturday job might look good. i'm presuming you're still at school / college if you're getting EMA so it's probably best to concentrate on getting good A levels which will get you into the university you want.

The Open University allows the students to spread the fees over a year - if the course costs £500 a year (October to May) then you will pay £60+ a month.

As far as you know you can NOT get any extra funding for it.
