Someone asked a similar question about their cat starting to urinate everywhere. I'd check back for those answers too if I were you but...
... it could be stress or a urninary infection - of an infection caused by stress.
Has it's routine been changed lately? Did you change its food or the litter in it's litter tray, or the area where he/she normally goes to the toilet? Is it's toilet area clean? Is there a new person around or a new cat in the neighbourhood? Is the cat holding itself correctly when it does mess or does it look like it's in pain?
1. One of my cats started to pee all around the house. Turned out he was stressed due to a neighbourhood cat invading the house, and had got cystitis. Got an injection from the vet and all returned to normal.
2. My two girl cats started messing around the house when we had several workmen in over several days. Men went, life back to normal.
3. One girl cat started peeing on the duvet when she was a kitten. Local cleaner got to know me well! This was when we visited the OH at the weekend - she got confused between weekday and weekend homes. Once we settled her down into a routine, made sure we showed her the litter tray a few times, she settled down.
4. My sister-in-laws cat messed around the house - she changed his diet and the brand of cat litter. All settled down. Now he only messes if the litter tray is dirty!
It's worth checking with your vet anyway. If there is an infection it can travel up the urinary tract to the kidneys - bad news in cats.
Worth a trip for sanities sake.

Does she/he use a litter box or go outdoors to go potty? If you use a litter box, are you sure that you are keeping it scooped clean every day? If your cat goes outdoors, is there a dog or other animal that has your cat fearful of going outside? If neither of these is the problem, you cat may be trying to tell you something. It could be a health or behavioral problem. One cat i knew started urinating on the bed regularly; it took some observation to realize that she did not like the owner's new boyfriend. Please give us more info so that we can help you further.

Perhaps your cat has been frightened by something outside, and does not feel safe going outside to do their business. If the problem is spraying inside, the cat may feel threatened by another cat (have you recently acquired another cat or has another cat moved into the area.?)

Has something changed in your household?
A new addition, be it human or animal, cats don't like change and this maybe your cat's way of showing his/her dislike. If you've changed brands of litter or moved the litter box. Any number of things could contribute to your cat's change in habit.

somebody asked an identical question approximately their cat putting out to urinate everywhere. i'd study lower back for those recommendations too if I have been you yet... ... that's going to be stress or a urninary an infection - of an infection delivered approximately by ability of technique of stress. Has that's habitual been replaced at present day? Did you regulate its meals or the muddle in that's muddle tray, or the area the placement he/she usually is going to the bathroom? Is that's rest room section sparkling? Is there a sparkling individual around or a sparkling cat indoors the neighbourhood? Is the cat conserving itself properly on an identical time because it does mess or does it look love that's in soreness? a million. quite one in each of my cats started out to pee everywhere in the homestead. grew to develop into out he replaced into under pressure by ability of utilising a neighbourhood cat invading the homestead, and had have been given cystitis. have been given an injection from the vet and all lower back to popular. 2. My 2 female cats all started messing around the homestead while we had diverse workmen in over diverse days. adult men went, life lower back to popular. 3. One female cat all started peeing on the conceal on an identical time as she replaced top right into a kitten. interior of sight air purifier have been given to comprehend me exact! Did you upset her with something ?
Did you bring another pet into the house?
Do you have a new baby or a new guest in the house ?
If you say no to all the above, she could be sick, take her to a vet.
