There are a few things you need to think about and questions to ask yourself... have you colored your hair recently? Have you been sick? On medication? Changed your diet? Lost or gained weight?
The average person loses 150-175 hairs per day. It sounds like a lot, but when you think of the amount of hairs on your head per square inch, it really isn't.
Losing hair on a daily basis is normal, but if you are losing hair in patches or at an increased rate, it is advisable you see your doctor.

We actually shed, like all animals.
In the spring we actually loose hair.
I would start the day and end the day dry brushing your hair and collecting all the loose hair. If you are loosing over 50-75 pieces than its something more than shedding.
Good luck.
I often would wear my hair UP in a twist or "Sprayed" style and my hair would be all over the bathroom and not "on" me.

dont worry.. it happens to everyone. some lose more than others but that depends on what u use on ur hair. fo r example some1 who straightens their hair everyday will loose more hair than some1 who does it 2/3 a week. or chemicals / hair colourings / any hair products.

This happened to me. The amount of lost hair eventually dwindled down. I went to the doctor, they couldn't find anything. It could be stress, hormonal, dry hair. When this happened to me, I was using V05 Extra Body shampoo and conditioner. (I forget if it was V05 or Suave. Whichever it was, it was brown in color. It made my scalp very dry. If your scalp is dry, possibly from winter, maybe this is the reason??) If it would ease your mind, talk to a doctor.

Did you dye or perm or straighten using chemicals over your hair? If yes, then that's one of the reason. It might be caused by stress, also. I have the same problem. & I use more conditioner every time I shampoo my hair & it gets smoother, less frizzy. therefore, it might help you, too if your hair is healthy, then it shouldn't be falling off

that's totally normal. just try to brush your hair more when you get up, before you change into your "daytime" clothes, to get that hair out.
i think the average person loses something like 100 hairs a day, don't worry about it.
