This is a GREAT dougnut recipe. It will make 50 dougnuts...so if you want 100 just double what is below. Hope you enjoy these as much as i did!
Glazed Dougnut Ingredients-
1 cup milk
1 (1/4 ounce) package yeast or 2 1/2 teaspoons bulk yeast
1 cup lukewarm water
1/2 cup shortening
2/3 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon salt
7 cups flour
And directions-Scald milk; cool to lukewarm.
Soften yeast in warm water (and proof by allowing to set for 10 minutes, watching for bubbling to begin to occur); add to milk.
Cream the shortening and sugar together.
Add eggs and beat.
Add salt to milk and yeast mixture.
Alternately add flour and creamed shortening, sugar and eggs mixture.
Stir until smooth.
Cover and let stand until double in bulk.
Roll 1/2 inch thick on lightly floured surface.
Cut and let rise until double in bulk, again.
Fry in deep fat fryer until light brown on each side.
Remove and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil (into the paper towels, rather than the doughnuts).
Change paper towels frequently.
While still warm: Glaze with powdered sugar glaze.
If you prefer, they can be put into a sack with dry powdered sugar, crystal sugar or brown sugar and shaken gently to coat, or frosted with one of your favorite icings and sprinkles or nuts.
When completely cool and glaze or frosting has set, store in an airtight container.
They can also be frozen for later use (eliminate as much air as possible).

Try buying canned biscuits (10 in each) Take a small lid (like vanilla extract lid) and make your donut hole, drop in hot vegetable oil about 1 inch deep, cook about 1 minute on each side until golden brown. Put on paper towel and top with icing or sugar...whatever is desired. Don't forget to cook the donut holes too!

Apple cider donuts are the best!! The cider adds a subtle flavor that I've loved since I was a kid.
Apple Cider Doughnuts recipe
Servings: 20
1 cup apple cider
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup solid vegetable shortening
2 large eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Vegetable oil or shortening (for frying)
Glaze
2 cup confectioners sugar
1/4 cup apple cider
Boil apple cider in small saucepan until it is reduced to 1/4 cup, 8 to 10 minutes; cool.
Beat sugar with shortening until smooth. Add eggs and mix well, then add buttermilk and reduced cider. Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg in another bowl. Add to liquid ingredients; mix just enough to combine.
Transfer dough to lightly floured board and pat to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut with 2 1/2- to 3-inch doughnut cutter; reserve doughnut holes and re-roll and cut scraps.
Add enough oil or shortening to fill a deep pan 3 inches; heat to 375 degrees F. Fry several doughnuts at a time, turning once or twice, until browned and cooked through, about 4 minutes. Remove to paper towels with slotted spoon.
For glaze, mix confectioners sugar and cider. Dip doughnuts while warm; serve warm.

If you are going to be making that amount of donuts on a frequent basis perhaps you might invest in a donut machine. perhaps one like they commonly have at carnivals and fairs that make "those lil donuts"
