Hmm I read about a very similar situation in the book 'He's just not that into you'; perhaps you should google it and take a look - real honest advice.

In fact, here's an excerpt from the book from the website listed in the source [for the full excerpt]:

"The "But He Gave Me His Number" Excuse

Dear Greg,

I met a really cute guy at a bar this week. He gave me his number and told me to give him a call sometime. I thought that was kind of cool, that he gave me control of the situation like that. I can call him, right?

Lauren

Dear Control Freak,

Did he give you control, or did he just get you to do the heavy lifting? What he just did was a magic trick: It seems like he gave you control, but really he now gets to decide if he wants to go out with you — or even return your call. Why don't you take Copperfield's number, roll it in a newspaper, pour milk in it, and make it disappear.

"Give me a call." "E-mail me." "Tell Joey we should all hang out sometime." Don't let him trick you into asking him out. When men want you, they do the work. I know it sounds old school, but when men like women, they ask them out. "

Hope that helps x

I have a three day rule. First day after they might be busy, or nervous or might not want to seem so available so let them slip. Second day they might be busy or hanging with friends. So don't worry too much. But on the third day, if they don't have any contact with you then you've waited long enough, and they're not worth it. there are plenty of other guys out there that will be excited to see you again. So i say don't worry about him

You only met him on Friday night, give it at least till Thursday cause guys always take ages to text back.
Don't be watching your phone all day cause then it will never ring. If he does not call then at least you had a good time with him on Friday and you can move on, if he does call then go for it!!
Good luck babe xxx

Don't wait, go on with your life. He'll either contact you or not, but certainly don't waste any of your life 'waiting'.

And, if you messed around the night you met, what sort of prospect would either of you make for an actual relationship?

here are the options.. he either lost your number or he was never interested in you to begin with. he probably just wanted the one night stand ordeal which never occurred.. maybe he was even a lil tipsy and don't remember the incident at all. don't think too much on it.. let it go.

He's not interested in you. Here's a tip, go meet someone else. He was only after that one thing.
