Unforgiven is right, but you can also have a tranciever type kepy made at a good locksmiths also, without having to go to a dealership. You will need the VIN at the locksmiths also.

As long as the key is not a coded or transceiver key, you can walk into just about any WalMart or Ace Hardware, or Menards or Lowes and with your original key, get a copy made. Now, if you have one of the special keys, you will need the VIN (vehicle identification number) and go visit your dealership to get the proper key and cut done.
Good luck.

You will probably want to go to the Nissan Dealership.
I'm not really sure how it works with these keys and just any locksmith. I know that they are especially programed for your car, kinda when you go to the dealer for a service check, they don't even need your info they just take your key and get all the info from that.
Call the dealer and ask them just to make sure, the unfortunate part about getting something done at the dealer ship is that it is usually more expensive.
good luck to you

This key is coded, go to nissan. They can cut you a new key by vin if you have no extras but you must have your key registered to the car or it won't start it.
