went to a magic show last night with some friends. after a few tricks he started to do hypnotizing and got some volunteers. part of the way through it, i turned to my friends sitting with me and saw one of them keep opening and closing her eyes alot and the other with a kind of out of it look, but she looked awake. i tried talking to them but they didn't really answer me.
i let it go and watched some more, and after awhile my eyes kept getting heavy. were they sort of hypnotized? what about me? we weren't on stage

It's hard to tell based on your description. Nobody can be hypnotized if they don't want to be. You may have just been tired, you may have been hypnotized.

Since you said you "let go", I'm guessing you may have been hypnotized since that's what it takes to get hypnotized. If you "let go" and followed the hypnotist's relaxing commands, you may have been hypnotized.

As to the person above who said stage hypnotism is fake, some is and some isn't. I know of cases where some "volunteers" were planted and faked being hypnotized. I know of some cases where people were actually hypnotized. All it takes to get hypnotized is a willingness to be put under and to "let go" and follow the hypnotist's relaxation induction.

The volunteers were a set up. Those people are paid to do that. But your mind wasn't hypnotized. That's why they call it a trick. Everything was set up, I believe the magicians have special tools & items to make your eyes go different. But when seen outside, they can't do that to you without the proper tools or lightings.

I believe in Hypnotism. Hitler learned how to become so loved through his speeches by hiring a hypnotist to train him with tricks of oriatory.
