I left my Driver License in another country. And now, I am in California, needing to drive around. What are the worst penalities driving with out my Driver License? In addition, I already applied for car Insurance for the time being here.

Have someone mail it to you Overnight.

Short of THAT you are going to be breaking a law. If you get pulled over do not expect any simpathy from a police officer.

If you actually have a valid license, if or when you are pulled over, you can provide your personal information to the officer, and they can verify the validity of your license via computer. There is a fine for not having your license with you, but most officers will only give you a warning. Additionally, you can go to the DMV and apply for a duplicate license, but there may be a fee.

Just go to any CA DMV & waste 1/2 day getting a duplicate license. This will satisfy so & any potential run in with the cops.

Question: If you live in California, how did you forget your driver licence in another country? If you lost it, report it lost and get another one. If you live in that other country, how do you have a California driver licence? Your query cannot be answered properly without knowing your legal residence.

At best, a simple ticket for not having your license with you. At worst, you are involved in an accident, and jailed for not having your license with you.
Good luck.

i would suggest abiding by ALL traffic laws. use turn signals, don't speed, and watch out for the other idiots out there. the odds of you getting stopped are fairly slim.
