Orthodox Christians, Eastern Europeans and Jews traditionally wear the wedding band on the right hand.

A traditional reason to wear the wedding ring on the right hand stems from Roman custom. The Latin word for left is "sinistra", a word that evolved into the English "sinister". The Latin word for right is "dexter", a word that evolved into "dexterity". Hence, the left hand had a negative connotation and the right a good one.

Greek people, many being Orthodox Christians, also wear the wedding rings on the right hand in keeping with Greek tradition

In any case, do what makes you happy!

I know traditionally its your left hand because it used to be believed that there was a vein that ran from your left ring finger directly to your heart. Some people like to keep their engagement and wedding band seperate so they were it on two seperate hands. Some people might just be more comfortable with their wedding ring on the right. When I wear a watch I like it on my right wrist even though I am a rightie. ITs just whats comfortable.

Here in the UK I know we wear it on the 3rd finger of the left hand as there is a vein that runs from that finger right to the heart.

The Eatern Orhtodox religion believes rings should be worn on the right hand. It has something to do with an old superstition about the devil sitting on your left shoulder.

Spanish wear them on the right too, not sure why.
It's worn on the third finger because the vein that goes from that finger goes straight to the heart, or so the story goes.

My husband is from Eastern Europe, and one thing he asked me when we were getting married was that he'd like it if I wore my rings on the right hand. It is their tradition there. I have enjoyed wearing them on the right hand. Many couples from his country are here, and all wear the rings on the right hand.
Turns out my mom, who got married here but is of a similar nationality, also got her wedding ring put on her right hand when she married my dad. However, she felt out of place having it on that hand because everyone else was wearing it on their left hand, so she switched it and wore it on the left.
