how do i change a picture from paint to a GIF image or a JPG image?

G'day,
Open the photo with the Paint Program, then click on save as, a window will open, on the right side near bottom is a frop down menu arrow, click on that and it will have a large lists of formats you can change it to, Jpg/Jpeg uses less space than BMT format

Open the original image in Paint, then use "Save as..." under the File tab and choose the correct File Type (under the file name box) before saving.

Try PhotoFiltre, Paint.net, Picasa or IrfanView, to name only a few programs that are more versatile than M$-Paint. Search on Google for more info on any of these.

Use Irfanview and open the picture then just save as and drop the selection box down to the file extension you want.
