Ok..making a long story short..my best friend brokw up with her ex boyfriend (who is also my neighbor and has liked me for about 5 years now haha) in July. We liked each other, went to homecoming and you know talked and said we both like each other a lot. But my friend started fights with him after they broke up and it was a sticky situation and still is. This dance was back in September, and that's when we talked, why hasn't he asked me out yet? He told me he wasn't ready back in September, but really, how much time does he need? And also my friend tells me she's not over him and she keeps getting mad at me and I feel like she's harassing me, but is it wrong of me since she is the one who broke up with him and told me she was over him when she wasn't? So the question(s) is why is he taking so long if he likes me (a lot!) and is it wrong of me to date my best friends ex if she broke up with him. Thanks!

he could be hesitant because of your best friend, (she sounds she could be trouble for you and your almost boyfriend)
- i think you should talk to your friend and explain your feelings for the guy, and make her realize that they are no longer going to be together, maybe you could help her find a new guy to help her get over him.
**good luck!

I think it can seriously backfire on your friendship. In other words, this guy seems to be more important to you than your best friendship, so in this case consider you lost your friend already (ans some other friends I bet), and go for this adventure. At the same time, if you care a lot for your friend, I would not do this.
Good luck!
