As far as due. I don't know.
No man will know the day or hour.
As far as a return, yes.
Luke 10:35 "And on the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper and said, 'Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I return, I will repay you.'
Think about this passage. There is something deeper here than you would think. He was talking about himself in this passage. He was the good Samaritan in the story.
1 Th 4:16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first.
1 Th 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord.
1 Th 4:18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
Here is a statement that He will come again. The when of it is not disclosed.
1 Th 5:2 For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night.
When does a thief come. He come unannounced. All of a sudden he is here.
In your face, you might say.
OLAY!

Jesus said He would return when the gospel had been preached across the world; not that everyone will believe of course, its just an option to get your sins paid for and be adopted as a son of God, instead of paying for your own deeds. Currently there are countries, e.g some muslim and some atheist-ruled that make it very hard to fulfil the commission, due to violence and intimidation. I think the Church is going to regain the understanding of the Acts church, and more, and go out in the full power of the Spirit of God - no intimidation or violence will stop the presentation of the gospel to all peoples when that happens.
The man of lawlessness (the antichrist) comes before the second coming.

Yes, the Prophet of Allah Jesus son of Mary (peace be upon him) will descend at the end of time and judge among the people with justice, following the Law of our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). He will break the crosses and kill the swine. HE shall put an end to the payment of the jizya. He will only accept Islam from the people. The People of the Book, the Jews and Christians, will all believe in him before his death, after he descends at the end of time. Allah has stated, "There is none of the People of the book but must believe in him (as only a Messenger of Allah) before his death. And on the Day of Resurrection, he (Jesus) will be a witness against them." [an-Nisa, 4:159]

I don't think so.
I believe the belief that Jesus will return is based on a misunderstanding of the Abrahamic mythos.
I believe that it is more accurate to say that Christian mythology teaches that their god will someday return to a form visible to humans- a mansuit, if you will.
The form of the human form it walks around in is speculation, in my opinion. the deity, not the man suit, is what the Christian mythology says will return.
I don't worry about it much, it's not my mythos of choice.

Well since he said that some of the same people would be alive, I think he is a little late. Besides, he is DEAD.
