if English is your mother tongue ,so its easy to learn German or even dutch as they're derived from the same Anglo Saxon source.

Though I'm Italian, I'd say Spanish is your best bet if you live in America because it's the most wide spread and used, though as Latin languages go, it's best to learn Italian first (closest language to Latin) which evntually makes learning Spanish,Portuguese or French and all derivatives easier to learn in the long run.

ps...last time I looked, Arabic is not a European language! Perhaps Guncrazy should learn to read ENGLISH first!!!!

Well, as a German major, I've heard that German is the most commonly spoken language in Europe, and that some Eastern Europeans in the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Russia, etc. have learned German as their second language. So, yeah, learn German!

I would say Italian because are easy and after learning them, you can more easily learn French or Spanich. Greek is a nic language but diffucult

I am learning French and i like it a lot. Old French people are kind of weird though. French pop culture is really interesting. hip-hop is huge and French rap is impressive, I love French rap.

if it is for technical - German....all books for technical issues are in German language
if it is for love - french.....it is ...you know
and the easiest way to learn a language is to find a girlfriend(boyfriend) from that country that speaks poor English
