that all depends on you. if you didnt like her pop open the champers but she was still a part of your family. so maybe grieve for a little while even if its for the sake of your other family members.

How do feel. Not how should you feel, but how do you feel? That is the real question.

If you feel nothing, do not try to force expressing what you do not feel. If you are around others who do have strong feelings about you grandmother's passing, then do not do anything stupid. Let them express their feelings.

If you have mixed feelings (both grief and elation) then express what comes out as best you can. Again, do not make a joke of the occasion.

Now might be a good time to reflect on your own behavior as well as your grandmother's behavior toward you. Was she really as evil as you thought or did something else (other than her true feelings) get expressed?

She might have been an Ice Queen or a Busybody or a Lonely Old Woman. She might have hated everyone in her life or she might have been poor in expressing her true feelings. At least honor her for the genetic material she provided for you to have your own life.

Try and be a bit more sensitive around those who loved her, even if you give the impression that all was not well between you and Granny....

Kick yourself for not starting a death pool with your friends. That's what I did.

Did you have feelings for her or are you just that cold hearted? A tear wouldn't kill you now would it?
