"when I was 25 I learned my mother told my stepfather thats how I was conceived, it blew my world apart," I can imagine it did. It sure isn't a laughing matter.

"It explained the treatment that I had received by my mother." I am sorry you had such a stupid and lousy mom! Not many women are really this big of jerks most of the time it's a stereotype based on propaganda. Even most young teenage moms are good moms and some times just need some extra supports rather than to be misjudged by these systems.

"If your pregnant due to abuse, you "may want" to work out how you feel about this child." But there are few supports that don't hurt some moms more than they tend to help them, generally these moms get abused by the systems of help even more than the abuse to begin with.

They get psychiatrically labeled and treated with interventions for being abuse survivors rather then given what they really need, respect, dignity, and assistance with their actual real needs.

when I was 25 I learned that my mother had told my stepfather thats how I was conceived, and it blew my world apart, I wished I had been aborted, it explained the treatment that I had received by my mother. If your pregnant because of abuse, you need to get help from a support group and work out how you feel about this child. You dont have much time as some options will run out soon, and leave you with either keeping the child or putting it up for adoption.

Turns out my mother was lying which made the whole thing even worse!

Not me personally. But my Mother-in-law was raped by her mother's boyfriend. It started at the age of 9 and never stopped until he was to old to force him self. She got pregnant at the age of 18 and still to this day never told her mom that he was raping her. He would tell her that if she told he would kill her mom. He was a very violent man. When her mom found out she took it the wrong way and left thinking they were having an affair. She raised him and now we are married. She just recently told us about this and were the first people She ever told. My husband took it really hard finding out the story behind his birth. Then to know that she stayed with him for so long so that he would have 2 parents. He was very ignorant to her she wasn't aloud to have any friends. No work. All kinds of stuff. She hates him now and his son deals with the feelings of knowing he was a rape baby and that he's the reason she put up with it for so long.

the sin was in the abuse not the child... a child should not have to pay for the mistakes one or both parents make... the child had nothing to do with it.. it's terrible what you had to go through but you have the choice of what you want the rest of your life to be. parents should never make their children pay for their mistakes and it is terrible if they do...

A woman who was raped did this and she loves her 10 year old daughter dearly. She said, it's not her fault and I choose to love her for herself...not for who her father is. A lot of people told her that she should abort her, but she said that her daughter is a life that God saw fit to give to her to raise, regardless of how it came about. They are happy, healthy, and blessed.
