"when I was 25 I learned my mother told my stepfather thats how I was conceived, it blew my world apart," I can imagine it did. It sure isn't a laughing matter.
"It explained the treatment that I had received by my mother." I am sorry you had such a stupid and lousy mom! Not many women are really this big of jerks most of the time it's a stereotype based on propaganda. Even most young teenage moms are good moms and some times just need some extra supports rather than to be misjudged by these systems.
"If your pregnant due to abuse, you "may want" to work out how you feel about this child." But there are few supports that don't hurt some moms more than they tend to help them, generally these moms get abused by the systems of help even more than the abuse to begin with.
They get psychiatrically labeled and treated with interventions for being abuse survivors rather then given what they really need, respect, dignity, and assistance with their actual real needs.
