I HAD A 91 T-BIRD WITH A 302 HO ENGINE. IT HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. A LOCAL FORD DEALER CHECKED IT OUT AND FOUND OUT IT WAS THE THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR. IT RAN FINE AFTER THAT.

throttle sensor, On the t bird i have i had to screw in the pin located at the end of the throttle cable.

could be a few different things ,but probably a vacuum leak or o bad I.A.C. valve(idle air control).does is get any better after the car warms up? if it does,probably the I.A.C.
