I was not able to find an obituary for Vanparis, but here's a website for a Lansdale, PA newspaper. You could search the obituaries in the "extended search." I searched "last six months" and also "year 2006" and came up emptyhanded. But maybe you'll have better luck.

I'm going to look into a couple other areas to help you out and will come back if I find anything.

Mourners brave weather to remember Marine killed in Iraq
The Morning Call
February 14, 2007
About 200 mourners braved this morning's icy roads to attend a memorial service for a local Marine killed in Iraq.
Brandon Van Parys, a Marine lance corporal killed in his third week at war, was memorialized at Calvary Baptist Church in Towamencin Township as an honorable servant of God and country.
The morning service at the Montgomery County church unfolded slowly, with mourners filling the pews to the strains of 'Be Thou My Vision' played with aching tenderness on violin and piano.
A Marine honor guard wheeled Van Parys' flag-covered casket to the front of the spacious church, and the crowd watched silently as slides depicting the fallen warrior in the full bloom of life flashed across two giant screens.
The memorial was the first of two services for the Northwestern Lehigh High School graduate, who died Feb. 5 when an insurgent's rocket-propelled grenade streaked across the Euphrates River in the battleground of Iraq's Al Anbar province and exploded into his side, killing him instantly.

I think you might have your info wrong. Check out this address at the CNN website. It has a Marine listed as Lance CPL Brandon J. Van Parys from New Tripoli, PA, and that he died Feb. 5, 2007.
