I have a cavity (cary) on the 1st molar, next to the 2nd molar. It is on the bottom right side of my mouth.

It began to hurt alot and I went to the emergency dentist and they cleaned it out. I siad "Do I have an absess?" and they said "No".

They just looked at it with the mirror and siad that there was a bit of food stuck in the cavity. There was no X-ray or any other investigation for absess evidence. But they said that there was no swelling at all.

After the temporary filling was done, it was hurting for about 4 hours. The pain gradually decreased to almost nothing.

2 days later, on the jaw bone directly below, if I press it on my face, it is very tender. I can also feel a deep dull ache.
If I put my finger in my mouth and apply any pressure, I cannot feel any painful areas.

If move my mouth muscles around or press hard on my chin/jaw on my face, it hurts a little.
It appears to be getting pregressivily worse.

What is this?

Pain from a cavity or cracked tooth can radiate into the jaw, causing aches in the jaw, or sometimes headaches. Make sure you get the tooth properly repaired or it'll continue to bother you.
