Air Force of course :)

Either way you are serving your country... so now that that is established.... look into the benefits and the jobs... The Army gives your the most money for college, followed by the Navy, the Air Force and then the Marines!.... The Air Force has a standard of living that all of the other branches envy.... The Marines have comraderie like no other service, possibly because they are the baddest SOB's on the planet. The air force and Navy have the more technical jobs that would be comparable to a civilian job ... The Army has the most jobs available to choose from... In the Army any MOS can be trained into infantry, in the marines you are a rifleman first your MOS second... Th air force tends to have slower promotion rates, the Army has the quickest! My best suggestion to you is to walk in the recruiting offices...the recruiters seem to carry the vibe of the service, i have been to more than one recruiting office for each service, whether for myself a friend or family member, and you can tell what service they are recruiting for even if weren't wearing uniforms!

My only answer as to why the Marines get the toughest jobs is because the average Leatherneck is a much better fighter. He has far more guts, courage, and better officers... These boys out here have a pride in the Marine Corps and will fight to the end no matter what the cost.
2nd Lt. Richard C. Kennard, Peleliu, World War II

I can't say enough about the two Marine divisions. If I use words like 'brilliant,' it would really be an under description of the absolutely superb job that they did in breaching the so-called 'impenetrable barrier.' It was a classic- absolutely classic- military breaching of a very very tough minefield, barbed wire, fire trenches-type barrier.
Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf, U. S. Army
Commander, Operation Desert Storm, February 1991

There are only two kinds of people that understand Marines: Marines and the enemy. Everyone else has a second-hand opinion.
Gen. William Thornson, U.S. Army

Why in hell can't the Army do it if the Marines can. They are the same kind of men; why can't they be like Marines.
Gen. John J. "Black Jack" Pershing, USA; 12 February 1918

There was always talk of espirit de corps, of being gung ho, and that must have been a part of it. Better, tougher training, more marksmanship on the firing range, the instant obedience to orders seared into men in boot camp.
James Brady, columnist, novelist,
press secretary to President Reagan, television personality and
Marine

The Marine Corps has just been called by the New York Times, 'The elite of this country.' I think it is the elite of the world.
Admiral William Halsey, U.S. Navy

The American Marines have it [pride], and benefit from it. They are tough, cocky, sure of themselves and their buddies. They can fight and they know it.
General Mark Clark, U.S. Army

I say Air Force. The Air Force treats its personnel the best. I have been stationed at an Army (Ft Bragg), Navy (NAS Pensacola) and Air Force (Pope) base. By far the Air Force base was the best. From my experiences the Air Force is great. Great programs for personnel. The Travel is great too. Ive been all over in the three years in the Air Force. Have any Qs feel free to email camezcua9@yahoo.

They are all good for different reasons.

Army - this is the bread and butter of the military. Alot of grunts, the largest force. There are alot of MOSs that transfer into the real world. Mandatory Physical Education, that means getting up early. Very easy to make rank.

Air Force - this is the service that is known for having the best standard of life for its members. This is a fact, as the Air Force was the first to put its members in single dorm rooms, and allow enlisted to live offbase at their own places. One of the safest branches during war since many AFSCs can support any war while the grunts remain stateside (the planes go out). Non-mandatory physical education, while having some of the best gyms around. Highest retention, though hardest to make rank.

Navy - this will enable you to see the most different countries of any service. The downside is that you won't get to spend much time in each. A ship that can move from port to port will take you to many different ports. Not the best choice if you have family because you can be at sea so long. Great if you're single. However, the living space is crampt, and you have to share bunks with someone (hot racks anyone?). This means that when you wake up to go to work, someone else takes your bed. Ewwww. I'm not too sure about rank there.

Marines - the biggest and baddest SOBs on the planet. They generally scare me. Many of their MOSs do not tie in directly to the real world. After all, if your specialty is ordnance, what job are you going to find on the outside. Great at what they do. Expect alot of time with your rifle and running and lifting. You life revolves around staying ready for war.

Now keep in mind that I was Air Force, so take the advice for what it's worth. Air Force has alot going for it, but there might be something that appeals to you in another service. It's not really important which branch you choose, but service in any branch is a great calling. Best of luck to you!

Each one has its own special purposes. The Air Force is not going to fight a land war, just as the Army isn't going to give close air support. Each one is better in one way or the other but all are required to have a complete national military. I wouldn't want to be in Iraq without any of my other brothers in arms.

Each has it's own characteristics. It all depends on the field you want to go into. I joined the Army for the communnications field. And that helped me get into the radio industry.
Ask yourself if you want to fly, float, or walk. ;O)
But all are great for learning resposibility and self discipline. All are great to see what the rest of the world is all about. Iv'e been on 3 continents and in 5 different countries in the 4 years I was in. I learned alot about other cultures, I just didn't know that I was learning that at the time.
