i`m only 5` but people tell me that i`m preety and i should be a model. i`ve heard you have to be a lot taller and i was wondering if is true. I want to model but i`m afraid i`m to small.

you could do photos, but not runway you have to be about 6 ft to be a runway model.

You might try finding the ad agencies that do mail-order catalogs, such as Sears Roebuck or Montgomery Ward. Another possibility is finding a chain of stores that cater to short people. A third one, though rather drastic, is to find a south-east Asia modelling agency - their women are shorter than the North American-European norm. Asian consumers are very attracted to ads featuring Caucasian women, so such an agency might be very interested in you. You might just find such an agency in the U.S., say in California. Give it a try.

if you are really unusual looking you may have a chance, Kate moss isn't that tall although i think she's 5'6. An average model is about 5'9 i dont think many agencies would be interested in small models, but you could be a model for petite clothing or something like that. good luck

you can be a model.. there =just isnt alot out there.. how old are you? maybe you will grow somemore? but the minimum height requirement is 5-8" to 6 feet tall so they ususualy liek the girls to be aroun 5'9" but you can do print work. for liek the sunday adds in the newspaper. r if you have nice skin and a nice face you can try the make up indutry... thats what im trying to do. lol get inot modeling make up liek on the covers of sephora. (i know theres a SLIM chance that i will be that BIG!) haha but im 5'6"... and i dont think im going to gorw anymore! cause im prety sure im done growing for my age!

typically models have to be a minimun of 5'8, but there have been shorter ones. Five foot is definately very short for a model, though. Maybe you could get a job doing face shots but runway is pretty much out of your leauge.

You can do photo sessions for advertising purposes (I think Salma Hayek is something like 5'3" and she is doing great job in Avon advertising campaign) Actually almost all movie stars are approximately that height.

i have the same problem (im 5'3") it will be alot harder for you but there is hope. there are some some successful models who are petite.the shortest supermodel was Twiggy at 5'4".Venessa Paradis is 5'3" so is Carmen Electra.Mary Kate 5'2" and Ashley 5'3".Kylie Monique (not sure of spelling) IS YOUR HEIGHT!!!good luck i hope you succed!

you might be the right person for modeling for local malls, revues, lingerie's magazines. etc...
u don`t have to do necessarily the cat walk to be a well known model...think about Kylie minogue... ;;)
