I've been asked to think of a good name for a police dog (German Shepherd) and I can't think of one. Any ideas for an original and meaningful name (not Bobby!!)? Serious answers only please.

I would name a pharoah hound or some other sight hound Isis. I would not name a german herding breed after egyptian deities. I would name it a German name. My dogs are Zeke (Ok, not german, but I love the sound of it) and Luther (warrior in olde german). I would love to name a sable GSD Kaiser. I think Kaiser is an awesome name for a german shepherd. I also like Luger for a big male (a Luger was an old German gun). It might help if you gave us a gender. I've heard that Adicus is a strong german name, however, any research I've done on the name has shown Australian origin. Plus it's much too similiar to Atticus, with is an old Roman (Latin) name. Max Von Stephanitz was the original creater of the German Shepherd Dog. I think he would be proud to have some named after him, so I wouldn't call Max a lame blah-blah name, lol. EDIT: I forgot, I also love the name Panzer, which is a german tank! Except I knew a pit bull named Panzer, so to me the name doesn't fit a GSD. But I still love the name.
