my boyfriend and i have been together for a couple of months now and he just told me that he is still not over his ex....what bothers me is that they broke up last year and she has a boyfriend now. and i dont understand how could he be dating me and still have feelings for her. but right now i suggested and he suggested a break from eachother...were still together but im giving him his space...cause obviously he has things to work out but i just dont know what to do.

Taking a break is good. give him some time. But if he does come back to you make sure you are 100% certain that he still dosent have feelings for his ex. As I believe you deserve someone who loves you fully. He must love you and no-one else. that is true love..

you did the right thing. now, if you want to keep him, you should be as close to him as possible. help him with whatever you can, be a very good friend. he does need space and to figure out whats goin on, but a good friend really does help, and your being there for him would more than likely move him closer to you.

i kinda have an idea as to how u may feel.. i said the same thing to my bf about my ex.. and after i realized why things didn't work between me and my ex and why im with my bf now... i moved on completely... be there for him.. and accept that he was honest with u.. try not to be offended

There is really nothing you can do, but what you are. If you care for him, give him the space he needs. If it becomes too long, then pick up and move on with your own life.
