Hope that video was not supposed to be Ortiz and Hughes in a grappling tourney, because it is the Ortiz-Couture fight from UFC 44. Anyway, either Liddell or Hughes could win against one another. If they fought 10 times, I think Liddell would have more wins. But you cannot say Hughes CAN'T beat Liddell.

Hughes cannot even beat Georges St. Pierre. How could he beat Chuck Liddell? Hughes has said he will move up to fight Anderson Silva - so we'll see about that one. IF somehow he beat Anderson Silva, then i think he would still lose to Liddell. Liddell has the best takedown defense in the UFC.... he is not going down without a fight.
Hughes has no chance against Liddell.... none!

of course "THE ICEMAN" Chuck Liddel would clearly dominate! Anybody that watches MMA for 5 minutes can tell you that. Hughes should retire and open a school for shopping housewives. He's boring.

liddell outwieghs hughes by at least 40lbs. plus hughes plays into chucks hands, someone who has very limited stand up skills who has to really on getting his man on the ground and wrestle. liddell will beat hughes up all day while standing, and hughes cant use his strenght to bring down chuck who outweighs him and has a great takedown defense.

Hard to say but Tito Ortiz beat Matt Hughes in a straight up grappling match one. Perhaps Matt doesn't perform well when facing bigger oppenents.

i would bet my money on matt hughes.....he would definitely be considered an underdog but once chuck is taken down then i think it would be raining fists and elbows on chuck's face...
btw, chuck could not make it to the pride organization, the best mma organization in the world....and his biggest nemesis (quinton jackson)...the person he lost to and never avenged it just moved to the ufc to take his belt and take it back to japan....ufc....what an embarassing organization...fixed fights....just too obvious
