Well nowa days, it isnt 7 years per 1 human year.
Nowa days, its for the first 2 years in a haman's life, it is equal to 25 years in a dog's life. For every 1 year in a human..... it is equal to 12 1/2 years of a dog's life. Then after 2 years, it is for every other year 4 years.
So for 3 months it is about 3 years and a few months.

I used to work as a vet, and I had that question asked so many times, but I retired a few years ago, and they just changed it like a few months ago. Now they base it on how sexually mature they are.

A dog at one year of age is fully able in every way to have puppies and to properly care for the puppies. For People a similar age would most likely be 24. Therefore the normal 7 years in human age for 1 year of dog years does not apply for the first year. Hence a 3 moth old dog is an 8 year old child.

The new way to figure dog years is.....when your dog turns 2 that is = to 25 human years. After their 2nd birthday its 4 human years to their one. So when your dog turns 5 he will be 37 in human years. So really your 3 month old dog....is 3 months old.

To equate a dog to human years, count the first year as 13, the second year as 13 and each years thereafter as 5 years.

So my 11 year of dog is:
1 @ 13 = 13
1 @ 13 = 13
9 @ 5 = 45
TOTAL 71

A 3 month old would be 1/4 of 13 years = 3 years and 3 month
