They are constantly approaching women with: "If I know you better I will go out with you/be your boyfriend/marry you", and so on. What about the women? Why is it assumed that she into him already, and his approbation only needed to establish something between them?
Should not she, too, be expected to know him better?

Some men are like that because they are taught that they have to be a little agressive into pursuing women, some times the one that pushes a little harder closes the sale. I think this happens moslty at clubs or bars, when they are there to "pick up" a chick where if you meet a guy you like at schooll or in some other activity that is not a pick up place, the interaction is totally different because you start off as friends. Yes women have the same rights as men and you don't have to feel pressured, scrutinized or pushed over or feel analized. Don't let them, this will make you proud of your self and they will respect you for that.

Some do, some don't...so do some women, right? Everyone knows that this isn't true or possible. But I guess some people have such a positive attitude that they think that anyone would be crazy not to fall for them. Some guys probably feel the need to take on this kind of role because of some of the dumb things that girls write on Yahoo! Answers about being so "boyfriend/relationship" hungry. Maybe girls should stop seeming so desperate for anything with a penis and the guys would calm down a bit. What do you think of that?

Men are very egotistical creatures. Their testosterone levels overcome their common sense at times. Whatever happened to manners and being polite and having moral integrity?

these sorts of guys (and most guys are like this) are on a perpetual ego-trip when it comes to women. they think that they are God's gift to womankind. Most men are like this. There are a very few who realize that they are nothing special, and that they are fortunate to have a woman recognize them, let alone take them beyond that point.
