I would rather someone watch my child that smokes pot (not around my child of course) than someone who drinks all the time. But only a person that I knew and trusted. I wouldn't want someone under the influence or carrying illegal drugs on them when my child is in their care.
I will say this, pot does not distort a person's point of view near as much as alcohol and the people that I know that do are not as uptight as some other people. Marijuana is like any other drug, there is a tolerance for it. People that smoke it for the first few times do get distorted but people that have been smoking it for years don't get that way, just seems to put them in a better mood, not out of their mind.
I will tell you this. Marijuana was banned in America and Congress used RACISM to do it. I saw this more than once on the History Channel. They knew people were growing their own and making profits and they also did alcohol during the prohibition (which didn't work). Basically, they couldn't figure out a way to tax it - being that it was completely legal.
So they started using scare tactics to the public by saying that Black Men were smoking it and going out and raping White Women and Children. Thus, people started getting frightened most of them too dumb to realize this wasn't true because of the way they were brought up thinking that black people were all bad and scary. They looked different and had been taught that they were nothing more than slaves so they blamed everything on the black man. This scared the people into voting to make marijuana an illegal drug. They did the same thing with Cocaine which was used by Doctors, also.
Alot of medical researchers have been fighting this issue for years finding new medicals reasons for it but it is all about the taxes and Pharmacutical Companies making money. They are making money on all of these quit smoking drugs now that cigarettes are banned everywhere. IT'S A CONSPIRACY! LoL!
To get to your point, I don't trust very many people anyway, it doesn't matter if they smoke or drink on their own time, it matters how they treat other people. There are good people and there are bad people and you can't judge them by race, sex, vices or anything. You will just know if you spend enought time around them.

I havent smoked in quite a while. But I started at 14 and had done lots of babysitting. While babysitting, I was always sober/straight. I was a great sitter, very responisble and never even let other friends around. However, if I knew someone smoked I wouldnt allow them to babysit my kids, especially if I didnt know the person inside and out, bc not all potheads will put down the weed while sitting and/or may let their pothead friends in and take"just one hit", so no. Im not opposed to people who do smoke but they wont be watching my kids.

No, I would not. Having been with someone who smoked pot on a daily basis, I can say I wouldn't trust him to do much of anything with my children--especially babysit.
His short term memory was gone and his ability to resolve a crisis was not present.
I would trust him for like five minutes while I took a shower but that was about as far as it went.
I left him when he wouldn't give it up and I found his "stash" in the car I drove my kids in!!!!

It depends on the person. I know some surprisingly responsible potheads and some that I would let near a child with a five billion trillion foot pole. The same goes for people who don't smoke pot. But if you don't really know the person, I wouldn't recommend it.

Absolutely not. The risks involved include them passing out and forgetting the baby, possibly involving the baby getting seriously hurt, or them getting arrested and DSS taking your child away from you. No matter how much you like someone, they will never be worth your child.

Not if they were stoned at the time, a pot smoker who is not stoned I would let watch my kids. It's just like drinking. I would let a drinker watch my kids, but not a drunk person.

Nope. You leave a baby alone unsupervised (or a toddler whatever) with a pothead you're asking for trouble.

Yeah, why not. I've done terrible things before, but I'm not a bad person at all. It's bad to judge people like that.

Absolutely not. Why would I trust someone who is voluntarily impairing their faculties?
Not to watch my child.
Not to watch my dog.
Not to water my plants.
Not to pick up my mail.
Nada.
