The recurrence rate for meningiomas is 8-20% over ten years, for the tumors that were thought to be totally removed. It is much higher if not all the tumor was able to be resected.

Follow-up with CT or MRI scans is important to detect any recurrence early.

yes, but benign ones are so much easier to treat than malignant ones, because they don't have little fingers that spread out everywhere.
