The old saying “ to eat an apple going to bed, will make the doctor beg his bread” has been justified by its many health-rich properties. A member of the rose family, fossil remains have shown that apples were gathered and stored 5,000 years ago and it’s likely that they were already cultivated during the Neolithic times. Apples are excellent detoxifiers and apple juice can destroy viruses in the body.
In one recent study , Riu Hai Liu of Cornell University, has found although apples has only a small amount of vitamin C, eating 100 grams of apple provides the same amount of antioxidant activity as taking 1,500 milligrams of the same vitamin.
Just make sure you do not take too many apple seeds because it could be toxic if taken in large amount..
1. Apple cleans teeth and strengthens gum
2. Will make the cholesterol level lower
3. Detoxify the body and has an antiviral property
4. Apple will also prevent constipation because it helps digestion
5. One large apple supplies almost 30% of minimum amount of fiber that should be consumed daily.

I prefer green Granny Smith apples because they are more sour and seem to be crisper than other supermarket apples. For red apples, Fuji are consistently juicy, and Braeburn or Gala are also good. If you get your apples close to the source, any variety will be juicier. The Red Delicious in the markets are only good some of the time and tend to be a little grainy at other times.
Red and green apples are both equally good for you.

Both are good for you, I prefer red. Stick to one or two apples a day, I had a friend who was addicted to apples, she would eat at least four a day and ended up with stomach problems. Now her stomach hurts really bad everytime she eats an apple. Everything in moderation.

Apples contain a lot of sugar and you shouldn't eat too many, one a day would be fine. You should try to eat a variety of fruit and veg. Its good to have a piece of fruit to start the day, before breakfast, something to do with kick starting your digestive system. Eat the skins!!! red or green.

I think you should eat a mixture of both. The different colours represent different nutrients so the more variation of colours in your diet, the better!
Don't think there's an ideal number of apples to eat as long as they're helping you on your way to your 5 a day. Just bear in mind that they are full of natural sugars so your teeth may take a battering if you eat loads!!
