I understand that tithing is important. But there are other things that are important to. Like learning the Word of God. I've been going to the same Church for 2 years. and i've listened to basically the same Sermon over and over. Should I visit other Churches to see what they're like? or should I continue to go to the same Church?

A cut of the tithe usually pays the pastor's salary. Perhaps your pastor is wanting to buy a new car or go on vacation. You can visit other churches if you want. It's up to you. You might talk to your pastor and tell him you would be really interested in him doing a sermon on ______.

The key is how much "fruit" comes from the money. It's like charity giving. If all the money goes to keeping the charity itself running without any benefits to the community, then you have a very inefficient, poorly run charity. You have to pay the Pastor's salary. So what is he doing to pay for his keep? Is the church to make you feel good, or to help other less fortunate people. The answer may be both. Do you want all your donations to go to making you feel good or to help others? What proportion do you want? How efficient should churches be operated etc?

Do you really think that the ruler of the universe needs YOUR money? lol thats ridiculous. I don't know if your church is under budget so I'm not going to say anything rude, but if you keep hearing all about money money money, then it's most likely time to find a new church.

I would suggest trying another church, even one of the same denomination. If the church is all about giving your money to the church, it sounds more like the things Jesus preached against than for.

Why not ask the pastor? I mean, really ask the pastor what's up. Could be, the pastor is catching a lot of flack from people in the congregation. Could be the pastor is worried about his / her own job. Could be the pastor is full of crap.

But you'll never know until you ask.

Ah, my favorite subject. Because most churches are more about money then anything else, a plain and simple fact.
