Yes. It can be done through a Chapter 5 proceeding, and will result in either an Honorable or General Discharge. You would still be entitled to all benefits after the service, and may qualify for a disability pension. Good luck!!!
(Oh, and just ingore the ignorant answers of those who have never even been close to an Army base). :)

Most of the ppl in the military have mental problems so it may not work depending on what it is. An easy way to get out would be to disable your self( cut off your hand or somthing). But let me tell you somthing, my brother is mentally screwed and he made it 4 years in the military and six mounths in iraq. He said that ppl at fort hood killed themselfs all the time in basic training. If you just stay in the military and get through it you will feel much better than running away from it like i would problably do.

Yep, it would fall under medical discharge or Section 8. BUT you most likely WOULD collect a disability pension if this happened. Might not be such a bad thing.

Yes.
It is well known that we don't want unstable people to have automatic weapons. This could mean anything, from not playing well with others, running with scissors, or basically not knowing when the STFU and carry out your orders.
The irony of this is that in times of war, only our best and brightest are removed from the gene pool.

Does Bad Conduct Discharge have any meaning to you?
Once you enlist or volunteer, you are the property of the organization to be used as cannon fodder or floor sweepings which ever they desire.

yes sweetie, I'm sorry, and I hope you get better. And most importantly: thank you for your service, you are a hero in this country and I appreciate it, no matter how short it was, so thank you.
